We recently hosted an amazing Desert, Space and Stars 💫 trip to Tankwa. It was wonderful to host our travel trade and media partners on this educational - thank you to Getaway Magazine, Sarah James Travel and Come To Cape Town for joining on the adventure!

✨ Our Desert, Space and Stars: The Tankwa Experience trip is an unforgettable overnight escape where space, stars, desert and camaraderie combine for an experience you’ll cherish forever. Connect with the space around you and with friends around a fire, sharing stories under the starlit desert sky.

There was something special and different about this particular trip - we decided to host our guests at the mobile fly-camp (versus at the main Tanwka camp), set-up especially for us at the edge of the Tanwka runway. Think hot showers, proper ablutions, private tended camp, spacious tents with a camper bed; you name it, we got spoilt! Oh, and hot water in the morning for tea and coffee, complimented by homemade rusks. Need we say more?

In the evening, we got to wind-down chatting around the fire under a blanket of stars, and in the morning woke up to a magical sunrise. We love sharing in unique experiences like this with guests - a one-night getaway filled with reconnection under a star-lit skies, rejuvenation and fresh air, it feels as good as a week’s holiday. 🌅

Another Unforgettable African Adventure for a Cape Town Family✈️🌍

A family from Cape Town recently embarked on an extraordinary journey with Africa Sky Runners, traversing the heart of Africa from Cape Town to Botswana and Zambia.

Taking off from Cape Town, pilot-guide Mike and the family of 4 went on a thrilling adventure to the Okavango Delta, Botswana. Stopping at Upington to clear SA border formalities, they enjoyed two unforgettable days immersed in nature in the Okavango Delta at the Chitabe Wilderness Camp before continuing their journey to Livingstone, Zambia. From there, they flew further north to Mongu, where the family met with their friends to support a local community mission, before heading back home.

“You’ve spoiled me, I won’t be able to travel normally again!” was some of the feedback.
